Pasienie owiec- Sheepdog trials
Dyscyplina przeznaczona dla psów pasterskich.
Wstępnym testem dla psa jest Próba Instynktu Pasterskiego (PIP). Pozytywnie zaliczona Próba uprawnia psa do przystąpienia do Egzaminu Pracy Psa Pasterskiego.
Obowiązują trzy stopnie wyszkolenia psa pasterskiego. Różnią się wymaganiami jakie musi spełnić pies, aby zdać egzamin. Każdy stopień jest trudniejszy od poprzedniego poprzez wprowadzenie dodatkowych utrudnień. Celem egzaminów jest sprawdzenie umiejętności psa w zakresie właściwego prowadzenia stada w różnych okolicznościach. Zaliczenie egzaminu jest warunkiem przystąpienia do zawodów stylu angielskim (tzw. TRIAL),które również odbywają się w trzech Klasach.

Alternatywą dla kierunku sportowego pasienia jest kierunek użytkowy związany z codziennymi zadaniami dla psa, z jakimi spotyka się on przy pracy ze zwierzętami gospodarskimi. Różni się od sportowych zmagań koniecznością wykonywania bardziej złożonych – skomplikowanych zadań. W użytkowym pasieniu również organizowane są zawody zwane Farmerskimi. Bardzo często psy pasterskie pracujące na co dzień na farmach startują również na zawodach TRIAL.
